- Hi my name is Katie Ross. I live in Christchurch New Zealand with my Husband, our six children and three wee dogs. Ever since I can remember I have always been intrigued with Classical Greek,Roman Art and Architecture I have a fascination and deep passion for Greek art and also the ‘Old Masters' - Leonardo being my favourite -. Ancient Tombs and Frescos have also been a real inspiration in helping me develop my own style. I love working with Plaster, Acrylic's and different textures, together they create a wonderful combination. Depicting this art I find both a challenge and also fun to do. The media and application is exciting and I never know what I will achieve next as far as colour and texture are concerned. My work is obviously about me bearing my soul and having a deep respect for the beginning of Art and earlier civilisations and time. I'm sure any person as passionate as I am about tradition and the past would enjoy sharing their sanctuary with one of my compositions. My work is on display at Heart of Art Gallery, Sumner Art Gallery ,Logos' Gallery all in Christchurch and Lavaud Art Gallery situated in Akaroa.
